10 Unusually Fun Things to do in NYC!

Have you ever been to NYC? Sadly, I haven't. But I have a fun bucket to scratch off whenever I visit NYC. Hopefully, Covid-19 will clear out soon so that I can start travelling again.

1. Hidden speakeasy at Please Don't Tell

Please Don't Tell has become one of NYC's most popular spot due to the it's vibe and cocktails. Although the visitors were supposed to keep it a secret, they spread the information like California fire until almost all of NYC knew about this place.

To find this place, you have to enter through the phone booth of an adjacent hot dog store called Crif Dogs. In the phone booth, you have to dial 1 for Please Don't Tell to let you in.

If you do not want to have a long wait, then do remember to make prior reservations.

2. Museum of Ice Cream

Yes, you have read it correctly. This is not a hoax! There is an entire museum devoted to ice-cream in NYC.

It usually takes 1-2 hours for the visit but it also depends on how long you take to click pictures. It is not a historical museum with plaques and knowledge. It is an experience designed to ignite that part of your brain that makes you feel like a kid again. There are many photo booths for the perfect IG post!

It has ombré floating balloons with wishes for the world written by students at 826NYC, a walkable infographic leading you to your “secret color”, a palette of colorful treats featuring a custom color ice cream scoop, a unique activity on color and human connection, a luminous dance floor, and Color Factory’s signature ball room.

6. Central Park

I don't think that anybody has been to NYC but has not visited Central Park. Situated in the middle of Manhattan, it is one of the most popular tourist locations in the country and even people who have never visited America know about it.

There are various things to choose from like visiting the Central Park Zoo, or having a picnic or riding a horse-drawn carriage. You can also enjoy a guided bike tour.
