Welcome back to my blog!
This is a continuation post for my previous post regarding Faroe Island.
I don't know why but I love Faroe Islands and stuffing the beauty of this place in one post seemed to be an understatement.
Fossa Waterfall is the tallest waterfall in Faroe Islands and totally worth seeing. It is easily accessible and majestic. It is in the northern part of Streymoy Island. It is a 35 mins drive from the capital, Torshavn. It is a must see if you like waterfalls (why wouldn't you like waterfalls?).
Syðradalur is 24 mins from Torshavn. It is the southernmost village southernmost village in Northern Island of Kalsoy. The lake is going to give you gothic feels and all your pictures will be Instagram ready without much filters.
Gjogv is located on the northeast tip of the island of Eysturoy. It is one of the best natural harbours of Faroe Islands. It is also a well known site for outstanding scenery. It is famous for its 200m gorge. Hike out to the left of the gorge and enjoy the fantastic views.
Lake Sørvágsvatn. If you have been to Faroe Islands and not been to this lake, then you have missed out on a big chunk of natural beauty. Lake Sørvágsvatn gives travelers different angles, leading it to be dubbed an illusion-causing lake. It shows that perspective matters. It is at least three times bigger than the next largest lake on the island, Lake Fjallavatn.
That's all for today. I hope that you enjoyed it and I truly hope that I was able to convince you to take your next trip to Faroe Islands.
